I thought it would be interesting to see what everyone thinks of Spino. The obvious combat disadvantage would be it's sail. An advantage could be the freakishly long arms for such a large predator.

You're right, it's sail would be it's biggest drawback and it's long arms and claws would be it's biggest weapons. It did have long jaws and sharp teeth, but these would be more effective against fish and small dinosaurs. Either way, I would not want to be bitten by a Spino. All in all, it's biggest advantage would be it's claws/arms. Besides that, not much. The usual predatory dinosaur stuff really.

The ending of FBR 2 would imply that is going to be a part 3. One of Spino's advantages would have been intimidation with the sail, but the sail is a disadvantage in actual combat. The ability to swim would help Spino against T-Rex because it would have somewhere to retreat to if it got hurt real bad.
