The Thermopolis specimen
Hey guys! It's been a while huh? I've been very busy what with me being in Yellowstone and school starting up again. Anyway, who's all heard of the Thermopolis specimen? No? Read about it. I went to see it in person a few days ago. Anyway, it's a very well preserved Archeopteryx found in Wyoming. This raises a few questions. #1 How? It's an Asian dinosaur and at the time Asia an North America weren't connected. #2 Why? We all know Wyoming is rich with fossils but why would we find one Archeaopteryx there and nowhere else in the U.S.? Any possible explanations? Any other questions? Lemme know!
