The Indominus Rex from Jurassic World was only the beginning. InGen and Dr. Wu never intended on utilizing the Indominus Rex in a real world war environment - it was too large to contain and control. The plan was always to breed smaller, more nimble and more easily controlled variants of the Indominus Rex. Enter the Indoraptor - a new hybrid creation, pairing the ferocity of the Indominus Rex with the tenacity and intelligence of the Velociraptor.

Jurassic World Rebirth sequel
The sequel to Rebirth is in development with filming expected to commence by the Fall of 2026. With Gareth Edwards expected to return to helm the sequel and lead star Scarlett Johansson reprising her role as well, the next Jurassic entry will continue the story from where Rebirth left off.
