Universal are wasting no time getting to work on the next Jurassic World movie and it looks like it's going to be a direct follow-up to Rebirth after all! Gareth Edwards is reportedly in final talks with the Studio to return to direct the eighth Jurassic entry! Not only that, Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and Mahershala Ali are all expected to return as well to continue the story where Jurassic World Rebirth left off!

Back in September, we received word that Universal were actively developing another Jurassic World movie with Scarlett Johansson, but a director had not yet been decided on. Bringing Gareth back is an interesting move and going to be a first for the director as well!
It appears the film is eyeing a June 9th, 2028 release date as well. Specific plot details remain unknown. The fate of the Distortus Rex (D-Rex) remains uncertain. We just hope there's more Velociraptor footage in the next one!
Now that Jurassic World Rebirth has been released, check out interesting concept artwork from the film! You can also find behind-the-scenes production photos in our image gallery, here!

The sequel to Rebirth is in development with filming expected to commence by the Fall of 2026. With Gareth Edwards expected to return to helm the sequel and lead star Scarlett Johansson reprising her role as well, the next Jurassic entry will continue the story from where Rebirth left off.
