During a press junket for Independence Day: Resurgence, returning actor Jeff Goldblum was asked if he would be at all open to returning to the world of Jurassic Park in any of the upcoming Jurassic World sequels. To the delight of the interviewer, as well as all of us, Goldblum admits he would be open to the possibility, but feels as though the Jurassic Park legacy is being carried forth just fine without him.
Initially Goldblum said he had no plans of returning:
Yes, in 20 years! Nah, I have no plans. They're doing very well without me.
But when told the series could always benefit from more Goldblum and asked if he would be open to the possibility, he responded:
Yes, yes, but what movie doesn't need a little seasoning of Goldblum? So few. The Danish Girl? No, not really. Not that one. I'm nothing if not open. I'm like an open-faced sandwich. My door is not always open -- I took the door off. I removed the hinges from the door. I'm too open. I'm like a chicken piccata. What was I about to say? Oh yes, the two [Jurassic] movies I did with them were plenty. If I never did anything more, I'd certainly be well satisfied.

Jurassic World Rebirth sequel
The sequel to Rebirth is in development with filming expected to commence by the Fall of 2026. With Gareth Edwards expected to return to helm the sequel and lead star Scarlett Johansson reprising her role as well, the next Jurassic entry will continue the story from where Rebirth left off.
