Jurassic World 2 will have an 'epic' Submarine scene

Kevin Layne was recently cast for Jurassic World 2. During an interview, Layne revealed some details about his character for his profile on MSFTManagement, a Talent agency. He detailed his audition process, and how he was originally auditioning for another role:

I remember getting advice from (my agent)Lennie, Make sure you go looking like the part. You’re a soldier, you’re a mercenary. Think it. Be it.”

I read for two parts, and ended up getting the role of ‘submarine pilot’, which was the role I wanted as it is quite an epic scene. So I should have a nice cinematic moment on screen in a massive studio film.

This gives us two immediate pieces of information, the first being that there will be a submarine scene, the second that there mercenaries in this film. Mercenaries featured prominently in Jurassic World, as a team of highly trained InGen Peacekeepers tried and failed to restrain the Indominus Rex.

However, the role of Submarine Pilot does sound like it may be a cinematic moment in the film. It is unknown exactly what circumstances might require a submarine for in the Jurassic World sequel, however it may be necessary for covertly getting on and off the islands.

Less likely is the possibility that this submarine scene could be used to chase an aquatic animal. The Mosasaur on Isla Nublar is currently landlocked in the lagoon, and has no access point to the outside.

Kevin Layne will also star in Star WARS: The Last Jedi. Kayne is repped by MSFTManagement.

The aforementioned "submarine scene" could either be quite fantastic or quite terrible! Regardless, it is so much fun to see these snippets of information! :)

This is absolutely awesome! And as SR stated above^ it could be amazing, or terrible. But this is JA BAYONA! He knows what he's doing!

Well, well! That looks good. If done well, it will be quite amazing scene. Bayona is very good director and, as JPCerato stated above, he knows what he's doing. We'll have to wait and see, though.

Could be a pursuit kind of scene, or a disaster scene which sets the rest of the film into motion,  a little unrelated but I don't know if anyone's mentioned it, but there are more islands we've not seen yet? as i remember the names are Isla Nublar and Sorna and there were two Indominus rex's and i dont think the scientists would allow a multi million dollar investment eat its sibling? other dino's in the making? anyone think this theory is good?
