Mahershala Ali and Luna Blaise have both joined the cast of Gareth Edwards' upcoming Jurassic World movie! Character details have yet to be revealed and the film's plot is being kept tightly under wraps for the time being.

Mahershala Ali, the two-time Oscar winner who was last seen in Netflix’s hit thriller Leave the World Behind, is in talks to join Scarlett Johansson in Universal’s new Jurassic World feature.

The studio recently dated the pic to bow on July 2, 2025 and moved fast to find a director in Edwards. The new movie will be a fresh take, with Jurassic World cast members Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard not expected to return, and neither will original trilogy’s stars Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern and Sam Neill. David Koepp penned the new script.
The fourth Jurassic World movie reportedly takes place between the first and second Jurassic Park films and will have no links to the previous three Jurassic World films as far as we know so far.
