It has been confirmed that Jurassic World was designed to spawn a new trilogy of Jurassic films, unbeknown to Univeral Pictures chief Donna Langley at the time of greenlighting the film. However, after the film shattered box office records, Universal is quite eager to pursue their golden franchise in a new direction. During a recent interview with THR, Langley confirmed that Jurassic Park director Steven Spielberg and Colin Trevorrow have a story in place for the next two sequels and that they will have no trouble hitting their June 22, 2018 release date.
News that a further film will follow beyond Jurassic World 2 has been confirmed by Univeral Pictures chief Donna Langley. Chatting to The Hollywood Reporter, she said that "there's no reason why we should [have trouble hitting a 2018 release date]"

Jurassic World Rebirth sequel
The sequel to Rebirth is in development with filming expected to commence by the Fall of 2026. With Gareth Edwards expected to return to helm the sequel and lead star Scarlett Johansson reprising her role as well, the next Jurassic entry will continue the story from where Rebirth left off.
