Today, Jurassic World began filming at approximately 8:20am at the Honolulu Zoo in Hawaii. Many extras were on-scene to get their first taste of the sequel, which has been 65 million years in the making. In the distance, you can spot the Jurassic World logo on a few banners. Thanks to our friends at Reel Tours Hawaii, we have a few on-location photos to share, which can be viewed below:
In addition to the photos, producer Frank Marshall just tweeted a positive announcement, assuring followers that the first shoot (of many) went well:

So it begins. After 13 long years of waiting, life finally found a way... and Universal finally found a director worthy of continuing on our beloved Jurassic Park franchise. Jurassic World Rebirth sequel
The sequel to Rebirth is in development with filming expected to commence by the Fall of 2026. With Gareth Edwards expected to return to helm the sequel and lead star Scarlett Johansson reprising her role as well, the next Jurassic entry will continue the story from where Rebirth left off.
